In May 2007, Davenport Lodge School became part of the Alpha Plus Group of Schools. The group brands as "the gold standard in education". Davenport Lodge School is already enjoying the benefit of the group's investment. In particular in elearning. New interactive whiteboards and laptops and PCs have extended the children's ICT experience. The outdoor learning environment has received a boost with the installation of new facilities to support gross motor development and imaginative play. High quality staff training in areas such as ICT, Early Years and in Leadership has been a mark of the Alpha Plus Group's input for the school's teachers.
