Davenport Lodge is a Pre-preparatory school for boys and girls aged three to eight years old.It has a Kindergarten for children aged from three to four years old who may attend on a full or part time basis. An early application to the school is advised in order to secure part time attendance.

The school is registered with the DCFS and is also a registered setting for nursery education grant for three and four year olds and as such it is open to inspection by Ofsted. The school is a member of ISA and is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.

Davenport Lodge School has been on its present site since 1968 and has a convenient location close to King Henry VIII school, Coventry City Centre and Coventry railway station. Its character Victorian Lodge building has been the subject of many extensions and improvements and currently consists of classrooms, and ICT suite, a library and an Ofsted registered nursery. Set in a conservation area, the site has the benefit of an excellent environmental resources in its tree lined garden, but also lends itself to good security in its residential setting.

The school has a well earned reputation for academic excellence built up over the years. Its sustained success and high standards secured for it the Independent School Association accreditation in 1985. Outstanding review inspections by the Independent Schools Inspectorate and Ofsted have subsequently endorsed the school’s performance and its high teaching standards.
